Korean Fried Chicken

I am no stranger to fried chicken, having moved to Houston from South Carolina so when I stumbled upon a newly opened modern little restaurant in the Museum District I was excited to try this twice fried “Korean Fried Chicken.” If you go to Dak &Bop on an evening in the weekend you are in for a wait as word has spread fast around this town filled with foodies (like myself). The atmosphere is buzzing with a nicely decorated bar and eating space. They have different flavors of juicy large sized wings ranging from hot to mild with soy garlic, hot and spicy and sriracha honey-lime. TIP: get double sauce on your chicken. They have other options besides wings and I also suggest the truffle parmesan fries. A half portion is enough for two. The drinks are inventive and fresh, but I always appreciate anywhere that can give me a hard apple cider. They have beers and cocktails with happy hour daily til 7 and sometimes specialty beers. The food is so good I haven’t had the time to snap a picture. I promise I’ll get one the next time I go!
